We are passionate about breeding correct GWPs. All breeding animals are health tested through OFA and/or PennHip. We match dams to sires based on how they compliment each other in all aspects and avoid doubling up on any faults. All dogs have faults, we identify those on prospective breeding animals and any animals with a severe fault do not get to add to the gene pool. Our focus is on producing healthy, structurally correct, well-tempered GWPs that excel at hunting in field, forest and water and make wonderful family pets. Our breeding program is small and personal, allowing us to focus on the individual personality and needs of each puppy. Puppies are whelped in our home and are handled and messed with daily. We practice Puppy Culture with them and have litters evaluated. We invest a lot of time and work into our puppies to ensure anyone who has been matched to one will have the best dog for them!

Along with what we put in we also want our applicants to come meet our pack as well as our family. We want future homes to experience our pack first hand  with their different talents and  personalities. We want the best for our puppy owners and puppies which means a positive relationship between owner and breeder. So getting to know each other is important for all parties.  If our puppy owners need help or have any questions, we are here to help. We also love celebrating with you on any achievements no matter what they are! Expect at least weekly calls or messages checking in to see how things are going in the beginning which taper down to monthly. We want to ensure that all is going well. If for any reason any of our puppy owners are unable to keep their pup or dog, it will come back to us here at Anvil Wires.
